Thanks guys for your feedback. Greatly appreciated. 😁
Innovation generally comes from pushing the boundaries of existing laws.
I will like your input.
All I need is how to get my concept power/ voltage output into the energy system of the car.
Think about it.
When the concept was tested with vehicle in static position, it was able to provide enough charge via the charge cable. The limiting factor remains, the car will not go into ready mode with the charger cable plug, plugged in. Reason why I am seeking advice, how to go around this.

Innovation generally comes from pushing the boundaries of existing laws.
As already mentioned, you can push boundaries all you want, but the First Law of Thermodynamics won’t budge: energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only be converted from one form to another.

If your invention isn’t using kinetic energy, where is the power coming from?

When the concept was tested with vehicle in static position, it was able to provide enough charge via the charge cable.
The charge indicator light on the dash is just confirmation that the cable is plugged in, not that the car is actually charging.

Therefore how long did it take to add 1 bar on the fuel gauge when you tested your concept in standstill?

After noting the communication pin is responsible for alerting the car, the plug is connected and thereby initiating and turning on the OBC to begin charging, ( car can't therefore go into ready state when you turn on key)I cut off the charging cable communicating sensor cable.

The charge cable light now indicates full charge ( solid green) when connected ( not flashing green indicating charging, in which case the car can go into ready state even when plugged in, but w/o any evidence of changing ( include no battery bars)

Thanks for your reply

In regards to my source of energy and the laws of energy conservation, similarly to the Regen breaking or even the fact that some ICE cars are more efficient in fuel management than others, the energy of the concept comes from energy which should have been lost anyways, I just thought of a way to recapture some of it. Yes this is possible

You could be a valuable partner in the project🤔

Which one, there are two?

No surprise there, the OBC/EV-ECU need to be able to ‘talk’ to the EVSE via the communication lines.
, I just thought of a way to recapture some of it. Yes this is possible
No doubt, there are ways to improve efficiency, but when the effort is greater than the yield, it becomes pointless

Again thanks for your reply.
I cut off the (CP) . It carries a low voltage when the car off and signal the charge plug is connected

Thanks a lot Mickey
You have been very kind a resourceful
Where is your location?

I am in Canada, I am in search of someone with a good EV insight to partner with to build the prototype I am currently working on.

RE: JoeS
Thanks for bringing to my attention.
For the records, I have no intention to waste anyones time, I was of the impression this site is a forum for members to exchange information and interest. I didn't think of the site as consulting site, requiring and expecting to be provided services. If I did come across as such, then I sincerely apologize.
I am probably in the wrong forum.
Sorry

Thanks again Mickey for all your support.

I just read this thread. Thanks to Mickey and Joe S, but it appears you scared away Kimi and we may never know whether he’s planning to put an alternator on a tire or a windmill on the bumper!

Seriously though, I’ve done the APU genset thing, and it worked fine with a simple converted EV for range extension.

With a modern EV that has Regen, I beliEVe that a mechanical pusher trailer is the better long range DIY hybrid.

I had a couple of Enginer kit for the Prius, basically 48vdc extra pack upverted to ~260vdc and fed directly to the Prius hybrid pack. It certain worked, but the 4khr 48v pack was just insufficient. It was fun to keep the Prius in extended ev mode though.
