Thank you for those, the DCDC has a different layout. As far as i know these OBC are compatible with 2012 USA cars but the output uses different connectors to the HV DC Buss over in the MCU. there is a swivel joint in the snorkel for the coolant to accommodate the different hose routing.

Need to see a reference to your articles. Tesla uses aluminum, but Mits uses steel structure that i have seen.

Disconnect the OBC HV DC Output connector from the MCU (to isolate the OBC from the HV Pack buss), then check if the + and - leads are shorted in the OBC (causing the fuse to blow). Also check on the 20 A fuse inside the OBC HV DC Output section, but somehow that fuse never seems to blow...

Not sure but i think the 2011 uses the plain EVSE cable with no control box. The resistors for comm with the OBC are embedded in the handle, along with a temperature sensor. Hopefully someone with an early model will chime in about using a full-blown EVSE.

Check for wiring harness damage under the rear seat from the EV-ECU back to the OBC; check for contact terminal corrosion in all the connectors; for example, E-03 at the OBC. Check for continuity of the DCDC command lines from the EV-ECU to E-03 at the OBC. Maybe insert some needle pins to...

You have faults on both the AC Input and the HV DC Output sections. Check the little blue snubber capacitors sticking up out of the soft black coating inside the fenced area. They are also likely blown or damaged since the fuse in the MCU was blown.

Thank you for posting the pictures and details. These appear to be the 3rd generation of OBC design. Would you also have a picture of the DCDC Converter board in the bottom plenum, to compare with previous versions?

How about taking a crack at writing a vci device driver? Or maybe someone already has--PC USB or serial port data (asynch RxTx, Hayes AT Modem commands) -to- CAN Buss (differential Hi-Lo) data
