This happened back in June, but I just came across it now. Mitsubishi and Nissan have started a joint venture company called NMKV Co., Ltd. in order to develop minicars exclusively for the Japanese market.
Although most of us are in North America, I'd expect that if the company does well they may start moving cars overseas. I'm expecting the North American market to start moving towards smaller and smaller vehicles and that would be a good fit for the NMKV vehicles.
There's no word yet on what sort of vehicles, or if there will be an electric vehicle at all, but the 2 companies are sharing some technologies.
