hi all

installed at Green Living Show last year a full set of 32 LED bulbs to complement the factory
installed ones ..plus HID main beam and high beams ....wanted to share experiences ...anyone interested ?

let me know if anyone else has done same please ....

car looks great !

Yes, I have also installed Xenon, works really well with the projector we have.

Most other bulbs have been replaced with LEDs which gives justice to a modern car rather than driving around with those small daylight at 3000K looks out of synch with a modern concept EV.

Did you keep a list of the 32 bulbs ? Might be good to gather everything for all members' benefit. It took me ages to order things one by one over Ebay, plus it is easy to make mistakes...

I am still looking for the turn light (orange winking, not sure I am using the right English term). The ones with integrated resistors to avoid mistakes are very expensive and I am not sure it is justified to pay nearly 100 usd for bulbs that do not stay on for long periods...

Re Xenons, did you install 35 or 55 W?

I would be very interested to install LED within headlights. According to the manual, this can be done only by a dealer because the whole headlight assembly needs to be detached. I would like to figure, how to do it on my own. So far, I have located two bolts, one that is located under the hood at the front towards center of the vehicle and the second bolt can be accessed via plastic cap just above the light assembly. Unscrewing these two is not enough to detouch the headlight. Can anyone help? Do I need resistor?

However, I managed to replace ten 5W light bulbs (W5W): front and rear side markers, license plate illumination and the roof mounted brake light. I also plan replacing the dome light 8W bulbs once I figure which color suits my family best.

It took me a long time to figure that.

To take the headlight out, you need to gently lift up the bumper at the point it meets the body. I am talking of a one inch move sliding it up so that you can access one more screw on the outer side of each headlight to let them loose.

Curious which factory/stock bulbs are already LED, and if any difference in that between ES and SE?

Also: aside from it being cool and philosophically consistent with EV ethos :D , can you estimate best case how much power (watts or watt-hours or range) you save?

How much did this cool makeover cost you?
