Today on the commute back, she used 3/4 of the battery with 15 miles left. And saved around 20 minutes with the carpool lanes.
Congratulations - certainly looks like a doable commute! HOV lane access is a real benefit around here and, somewhat sadly, that is the only reason many people buy PHEVs.

Was your wife able to fully charge the car before returning home? Curious, what was the RR (Range Remaining) after each full charge?

Totally agree with what Don wrote above. In 4-1/2 years of i-MiEV driving neither my wife nor I have ever seen turtle, and rarely get below two bars.

Again, don't forget to download Plugshare. It works with tablets and smart phones. Plugshare identifies all of the charging stations wherever you go and, if you or your wife have any range anxiety, Plugshare will eliminate it almost entirely.

Make a point of charging at new stations when you can. Some are free, such as Volta (here in Phoenix anyways).

You should also sign up for various charging cards, including Blink, Chargepoint, EvGo (they may have a different name at the moment), and any others. They also have apps showing their stations (and provide notifications for new ones).

And you may meet other EV owners (perhaps even an i-Miev owner via the apps, as we did) and enjoy new positive relationships.

Here for instance, is a new feature by Chargepoint: https://chargedevs.com/newswire/chargepoints-new-waitlist-feature-lets-drivers-line-up-for-public-chargers/

Yes, she can fully recharge at work. I think the RR it's around 89 miles with a fully charged battery.

After I got the car I installed plugshare in her and my phone and signed up for the charger cards.

Actually, there is an i-Miev owner at my workplace. I haven't talked with him yet.

Also, you can post your location in the Profile section of the User Control Panel. That will appear below your user name when you are online.

Enjoy the 'Miev.
