How to change a burnt out backlight lamp?

Hello,
I have a burnt out backlight lamp on the heating/air conditioning temperature button.
I found pictures of the part on the web.
But I can't see anywhere how to change the bulbs. There is no bulb base on the back of the part.
Does anyone know how to do this exchange?
Is it enough to pull the button to access the lamp?
I am asking for advice, because everything works well and I would not want to risk breaking everything to change a simple comfort lamp.

Here is a pic from the service manual that shows the individual pieces, to disassemble it suggests to start with 1. No mention of any replaceable bulbs though..
