Broke the J1772 port on the car.

Hi all.
Hope you have an answer for it.
I drove with the car with the connector plugged in.
The connector on the car (female) broke , and now I need to replace .
Do you have any idea. I'm sure mitsu will charge a lot of money for it.

I'm not sure what the back side of the connector looks like or how easy it is to change the pins out, but here is a connector that looks very similar to ours.

What model do you have European or north American? , I had done the same thing and have pictures of the unit that was changed, slide show at this photo link

Hi Sandange.
I'm in Leesburg VA, so I have an American, actually 2, one white SE and one Rosewood ES. Called Renn Kirby Mitsu, where I bought the car. The part cost $460.00 plus $260.00 labor.
Is that right?
Seems I have no other choice now, and , only one part available for the whole Us . Part is in California!

I ended up biting the bullet and paying the big bucks.
Didn't have the time to shop around or want to experiment with aftermarket parts, or jeopardize my guarantee.

Kept this old part just in case I had need to cannibalize it in the future

If you have fast chargers near you, you can buy some time.

Did the same.
They told me warranty is the issue.
