Went to the San Francisco Auto Show last Sunday and was surprised to see the latest reincarnation of the Sparrow, by the previous originators of this vehicle.

20kWh 144v Enerdels, ac drive with regen, Curtis controller, etc. Upswinging door mated very nicely with the body. Roomier inside than the original, with a fancy dashboard.
Production in Hollister to start at the beginning of the year.
Details and photos on their website: http://sparrowcar.com/
Just saw on their website that participating in their Beta Program will run $33K.
Personally, I'm not interested.

$10K Sondor: https://electrek.co/2017/12/01/sondors-3-wheel-10000-dollar-ev/

Ambitious and I wish them well.

My preference for electric vehicles is front wheel drive so that regeneration can be maximized (a light rear end will prematurely lock up the rear wheel(s) with heavy regen). Aptera realized this and early in the game converted to that configuration. I don't know where the drivetrain is in this Sonders.

Electra Meccanica's first delivery of the SOLO in the US: https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1116628_canadian-electric-carmaker-electra-meccanica-delivers-first-vehicle-to-u-s

Found this thread searching for "solo" and "hammacher". Put down $250 deposit on a Solo, and noticed the Hammacher EV has similar specs. Any connection?

Electra Meccanica sent an autographed drawing of the Solo. Cute. Number 897 is expected first quarter 2019.

Test drove one today. Appears to be very efficient and fun to drive, but very low to the ground raising some safety issues. I also wonder about parts and service.
