Those 3 have not that much to do in this MUT-3 topic here.

So lets add in this post here useful information to the MUT-3 topic:
The ParisCY solution is really crap. Do not use it. And really do not use it with 2023/2024 MUT-3 SE releases where you have to mix up directories. The ParisCY passthru was the source of all errors i had with MUT-3 SE.

For example the issue where when using OpenPort 2.0 its crashing on some checks. Source of problem: ParisCY passthru

Second example: Fully broken CAN diagnostic and not working special (SP) options for miev diagnostic with for example the ability to create a sort of useless miev battery diagnostic output. The ones you also can get for money from OEM serivce. Source of problem: ParisCY passthru

Solution to all that: Use the Bosh VCI registry hack. There are more then enough examples over the web how to do this. Its really stupid to use some hacked together solution from someone for passthru when MUT-3 SE have already build in passthru support. OpenPort 2.0 is working perfectly fine now. I also looked deeper into the @kolyandex opensource passthru driver and that does not provide CAN. So just use OpenPort 2.0. You can get working clones of OpenPort 2.0 for under 20$ with included free worldwide shipment. I still recommend the original OpenPort 2.0 instead of the clone if you dont mind spending more money.

Summary of best solution i tested:
Get MUT3-SE version 2024, install it, apply the registry hack to the passthru 04.04 driver part, start MUT3-SE version 2024 and have fun with 100% working functionality of MUT3-SE.

Interesting info you've shared based on your experiences. Thank you.

I have read and manually applied the Bosch VCI registry edit before but was seeing strange behavior out of my scanmatik clone thereafter in that it was constantly connecting/reconnecting. So I removed it. It was also a bit of a manual edit that took 5-10 minutes to get correct.

Could you export the registry .reg file you have used in your default, 4.04 and 5.00 passthru sections? That would make it easy for me and others to double click on the .reg file and import the correct edits that you suggest.

If this works perfectly as you say I will confirm and recommend this method after testing.

Thank you again for your research.
