I charge overnight to 100% every day. My car has 16,000 miles and I have seen no degradation of the battery yet. In summer I am seeing mid 80's stated range, every day. However, I do not leave the car parked at 100% for any length of time. It usually doesn't reach its 100% SOC until not too long before I leave for work in the morning. If I am going away without the car for more than a few days I am careful to charge only to about 50% then I unplug the car.
In regards to the USB outlet. I do enjoy it from time to time, but installed a Sirius XM Radio on the dash of my car, that gets used all the time. As others have said on this forum, I woudl have preferred a simple RCA type input(line in jack) to run an I-Pod or other music device.
