1. I loaded my full 24gb iTunes library on a USB stick but it takes a significant amount of time for the system to read and index the songs. Does anybody know if there is a way to copy these to the hard drive?
2. The system appears to play songs sequentially. Is there a way to play them randomly?
3. Does anybody know of s way to copy the iTunes playlist down?

Thanks! Still loving the car.

The FUSE system is separate from the Music Server in your NAVI unit. The FUSE system is built into your Hands free telephone module. It is able to play your music in several ways, thru the USB using voice commands or through Bluetooth streaming once you have a device paired to it. The Music Server is built into the NAVI unit. The default is to record songs as you play them on the CD/DVD player, File type needs to be in CD music format. The server then saves it in its own file type. It will not record MP3 files. The NAvi unit will also play DVD Movies. Each system uses thier own Gracenotes. Which can be updated for free. FUSE via USB, Music server via a downloaded file burned onto a CD. 24GB of music is huge. It will take a while before the FUSE system can create a reference file for all the songs.

Thanks. Though it has a 40GB hard drive so must be built to handle that much data? So do you know of a way to download music except for one CD at a time (40GB would be a lot of CDs).

The music server records faster than it plays it. There is a indicator on the screen that tells you the progress, upper right of the screen. I have loaded a CD in to the player and left to go do something else. Goes semi-quickly.

Unfortunately, only a portion of the 40 GB is used for music storage. The Navi operating system, NAVI map data, also uses the same memory.

Here is a couple of useful links to the FUSE and NAVI units functions.
(FYI The navi unit is aka MMCS)
