The SPX charger worked great on my 2012 I-miev, but is not "forward compatible" with my new 2017 i3. This charger is now sold by Bosch, as their commercial model 810, for over $2k.
$250 plus shipping sound good?IMG_4616.jpg

Why would it not work with an i3? They should be totally standard.

Anyway, no -- you can buy a more capable, brand-new EVSE for less than that, sorry. Bosch is smoking something.

Maybe. Still, the charger did not charge the i3. The new Bosch charger does both, albeit for around $1100.
OK, make it an even $100 - I have a charger that does not work for me, and I just want to give it a deserving home.

Thought the i3 requires a type 2 connector, if that’s the case you could use a type1 to type 2 converter..

i found a report of testing a SPX EVSE unit by DOE and Idaho National Labs but not sure it is the same model, and can't read the model number from the photo to compare. i would like to try to "repair" it.
