I bought this little fellow to play with and found it fun to drive, left parked unplugged at my office and the 12 volt battery went dead, recharged the 12 volt battery, and can not get the hybrid battery to charge or get the car to go into drive mode, eventhou I have 5 bars left on the gas (smile) gauge... is there anything I need to reset if the 12 volt died...??? Help please... Thanks Jim

Update I put a brand new 12 volt battery in today and the car still wont engage and move... Not sure what the heck is going on...any ideas will be helpful, you can email me at [email protected] tag the email battery...thanks Jim

Did you charge the "new" battery before putting into service? New Batteries sit on the shelf and can lose their charge, they are not kept charged at the parts store. Check the date code on the battery to get an idea of it's age.

I thought the same thing, so have it on the charger all night, but I did check voltage and it was over 12 volt... Crazy thing was, my 12 volt died after sitting parked for about a month, I put my 12 volt charger on it, next day got it started and drove around doing several projects. when I pulled it back in my shop to charge the main battery it just would not go up, hence my thoughts on a new battery, I am going to try it again tomorrow and see if it will charge my main battery.. Sort of scary, its not good for more than 40-45 miles now as it is, but if I can not get her charged... Not going to be worth much at at...ratt finks... (smile)
