Transmission/Gears stuck on P position

I solved this issue within an hour, by watching following YouTube link : https://www.google.com/search?q=mit...ate=ive&vld=cid:3ef7ac67,vid:xwsHidbzfmw,st:0. I also cut little bit of plastic that pushes the gear into P lock However , once done, it enables the car to be parked in any gear (not just P) while ignition key is out

Apologies for not taking a picture earlier, but I've reassembled everything now. The piece is easy to identify; it's a long white plastic piece with a small round blob at one end, forming an L shape. To modify it, simply cut off the round end to make it a straight piece. After that, the ignition/brakes P lock will no longer be there.

be carefull. the issue is not the plastic part but one of the "safety" wires (or both). One from break lever, second from key switch. In case one is not working you will stuck in P position.

Your reply makes (much) more sense. However whatever I did was , fast, easy and it worked. It probably dislodged the locking cables.
