Stop that key-reminder noise and lose 6 [edit: 8] lbs fast!

So even though I don't have an actual key, is the little white piece still up under there for me to do something with this white plastic button?

Press the plastic button to hear the annoying thing.

It's also not clear what I'm supposed to do with the button. Or how to make the sound stop based on the post.

4. Remove the two small ph screws holding the small plastic block to the front rim of the key switch at about the 2:00 position. The block has two green wires attached and a tiny plastic button. Press the plastic button to hear the annoying thing. Replace the screws in the lock rim.

So what am I to do exactly to make it stop? Just removing the screws?

its simple. just unscrew the 2 small screws and keep the white plastic part with buttom free in the space.
