I see a good price of Samsung SDI 60A old cells but no used. 17€ That seller say.

Is in Nederland and with shipping&stuff is below 2000€ 90-96cells

The only problem is that the cells is slightly bigger and didn't find a grafic about C rate ( charging / discharge) :(

Lev50 I read that is :
171/115/44

I think who can modify the pack is a good price.

Lots of Battery is rated at 1C but in other sheets say more.

Just find a good price of Dacia Spring Battery 2400€/27kwh second hand from sunwoda but I see modules but not size of modules or cells :(. Need to surfing on web more

I read some time ago on guys threads that if is a bigger AH (60ah+) ECU shut down car at a some point. I didn't find that thread anymore and ask here.

ECU counting used energy at engine (km) or battery (kwh) level?
And what is max kwh used that will shutting down ?

Let say I use a 93AH pack
I travel 160km and then shut down or counting 16.5kwh and then shut down , or 16.5kwh+10%error , or 50AH ?
If is km can use "unlimited" AC/heat ;)

Indeed , I read in Lev50 sheet that can do 300A continuous ( did not writes if is discharging or charging) and charging at 125A 10-40*C and surly ECU will charge at this specification and if is not used a aftermarket battery that suport that it will be a problem when at DC

3v*88 = 264v pack.
47kw engine / 264 minimum voltage = 178 Ah Max curent.
Theoretical is in limit at discharge.

Real shame them SDI cells are just a tad too tall, could have worked otherwise…
 
i bought some SDI cells to evaluate this same approach. Unfortunately,

The bottom of the pack housing has molded ribs that create the "trays" to hold the modules. The SDI cells are too tall to fit between the ribs (the cells are mounted on their side).



It is such a shame because the SDI are great cell

How inconfundabil is thous trays?
Can mount module over thous trays or scratch (destroy ) thous trays ?
SDI60 cell alone can be fit between trays (without module holder) and is Yes, can modify module holder?
 
Thank you. Cool. Now need to see if busbar can fit between models or need DIY over the modules.
 
I tried to use these cells first. Too big, extensive modification would be needed. Not impossible I suppose but you would need to trash the current module containers and mounting system and design you own. I am still not convinced you could fit 88 cells is this space. Besides you can get smaller cells that are 93Ah. That is the route I went. Friend of mine just bought the same cells for $3700 US. I think they added trouble of SDI cells outweighs the cost difference. Plus you end up with double the original range on your vehicle. I get 120 miles now.
 
How much did you say that payed the 88cells 93ah with shipping?
All viewed that sellers from AliExpress have shipment more then product :(

Find it $70/cell shipping included.

$43 per cell. Shipped to US, Arizona

I find on Alibaba minimum 50$/cell+shipping and hope is not sand in them ;)

Indeed, is just a swap without modifications.

What should be the correct discharge rate? I saw cells with a discharge rate of 3C!!
