Radio button ilumination

Hello,

I have question about original radio (Peugeot Ion) button ilumination.

When I have only daylight lamp, button in radio iluminating. But if I switch ON regular night lamp, button on radio is dark. When i drive in night, i dont see button
It is normal, or i have something wrong?

Check that the instrument cluster dimmer is turned up?

That's opposite of what a radio should be doing. On the NA stock radio, the screen is bright and buttons are not lit during the day, but turning on the lights dims the screen and lights the buttons.

Has this radio always done this? How long have you had the car?

Yes. opposite .
Radio always do that. I have this car 3 days.

I have a UK Peugeot Ion with exactly that radio - the main radio display is bright and the buttons not lit when the lights are off, and when they are on the main display dims and the buttons light up.
So there's definitely something wrong somewhere with your radio or radio wiring
