I recently imported an immaculate 2015 Mini-Cab from Japan to Australia being ignorant that all papers, manuals, GPS, Dashcam etc would be only in Japanese! It only had 21000k's on the clock but I would like to know what maintenance is required and how to do it. Thanks Ron from sunny Aus.

i suspect that your 12V battery is old, weak or worn out. Even with a recharge it may not have sufficient capacity to start to READY anymore. Recharge fully and perform a capacity check to determine if it is up to the task.

A lead acid battery must be kept fully charged all the time or else it will be damaged by sulfation of the plates.
I bought a new battery and left it on the charger all night, unfortunately nothing happened today...drats... when I turn the key on I see bars in the mileage window says about 24 miles and about 6 or 7 bars... Just nothing happens when I turn the key on, nor does that little screen come on when I plug in charger... I am about out of ideas...

To rule out the basics/easy stuff:

Check the fusible links under the red cover on the positive battery terminal. If those are okay, then check the fuses in the boxes under the hood. Then check the fuses under the drivers side dash in the ETACS-ECU.
