I'm considering adopting a dormant 1993 Dodge TEV minivan as my next high school auto shop project, one of 56 built.

This particular van developed a gearshift problem in 2010 after 16k miles of use and hasn't moved since. Luckily, it was in the smaller-still group with a flooded nicad pack, which can spend years or EVen decades in 0.0 Volt dormancy without ill effect. The prospect of resurrecting a factory-built AC EV that would still have no peer in today's marketplace (until the Pacifica Hybrid actually shows up) without having to invest thousands in a new battery pack and BMS is what is pushing me over the edge for this option.
Cheers,
Jay
