Anyone in the Syracuse, NY area? (EV meet 07/17/2013)

I have seen several i-MiEV vehicles on the road in both Oswego and Onandaga county, so I'm hoping that some of those drivers visit these forums.

There is a small car show in the Syracuse area, tomorrow starting at 4PM EST. Several members on the ChargeNY forums have decided to use this opportunity to show off our cars as well, so if you in the area, please join us! There is no cost.

I like what ChargeNY is doing, it's nice to see a local EV group sprouting up in Upstate!

If by "Syracuse Area" you mean "area code," I'm here, but I'm 150 miles away. As far as I know, I'm the farthest north i-MiEV in NY state- I'm in Potsdam. Hoping someday I can make the trip to Syracuse (I travel there often for business), but right now there's no public EVSE in between. :-(

That is changing. ChargePoint has announced stations coming in Canton and Watertown, so I can at least get to the Oswego County line (need something in Pulaski!), but Onondaga is a stretch at this point. Even when the EVSE are there, it'll be a long day or two-day trip due to charging.

well bummer, I didn't get notified you posted, or I would have responded sooner.

Anyways, I'm in Oswego county, off Rt 11 (near I81), about 15 minute south of Pulaski, and am putting in a 30A EVSE, and a 14-50R outlet this weekend hopefully. You would be more than welcome to get a charge (I will put it on PlugShare once it's online). There are several free ChargePoint charging stations in the Syracuse area as well (Chili's has them, Ramada Inn, plus Nissan dealer doesn't have theirs locked down/gated.

As for ChargeNY, I encourage you to join, it's not a Syracuse effort (Just focusing on it now, since I'm in this area), but a state wide effort. Heck, maybe you can lead the north country effort, as I do need to come up with some sort of chapter system. Lots of exciting stuff planned!

I know there are i-MiEVs in the area here, but I guess they aren't on the forums here. Was hoping to get a look at it during the car show, but no go. Only 3 LEAFs showed up, since others couldn't make it, and ChargeNY is a new community. Here are some pics tho.
