only asking as my late father managed to loose the remotes all we have is the touch immobilizer key and a
blank key with no remotes,

would like to fit one of those cheap universal ones to open and close the doors

a uk car in the uk

Looks like i may just need to know trigger colours

Been a long while but I seem to remember a light green colour and a violet off a door I used on an alarm but that was on a old mitsubishi FTO

If anyone can help that would be appreciated

Link doesn't work for me. I imagine that if you had a simple remote that controlled one of two relays, then you could disassemble the driver door and tap the wires from the lock switch. One button would lock the doors, the other would unlock.

I have no experience with aftermarket keyless systems, just brainstorming. You wouldn't have an alarm with this setup, though.

(thread resurrection, yes, I know)

A standard 433MHz right blade 2-button mitsubishi remote transponder key should work fine.

These are £5 on Aliexpress. I've just ordered a couple as my Ion only came with one key
