Correct.
How much energy is actually restored depends on various external factors. But to give you an idea, with the introduction of LEV50N cells both Peugeot and Citroën decided to reduce the cell count from 88 to 80 but improved the regen algorithm to maintain the original range.

CANIon had a screen where you could track regen energy during a drive, IIRC around 10% wasn’t too difficult to achieve.
