    2014 i-miev with quick charge

I dunno about the printed version, but a PDF is here: https://mcarsstatic.cachefly.net/pdf/owners/support/technology/2014%20IMIEV%20Owners%20Manual.pdf

    ChargePoint Charging Question

AFAIK, this is down to the car. I don't know why it does it. But it's not specific to ChargePoint. I see the same thing at home with my JuiceBox. I think it always does this, unless you get lucky with a partial charge. The timing seems random.

    dead charger

What? No. It's $5K-$10K for a used i-MiEV on cars.com (but you might have to ship it), with one outlier at $15K. Or you might be able to get a used Leaf in the same range locally (there are 1147 of them on cars.com right now, vs. 21 i-MiEVs).

Both of my Peugeot Ion's won't charge

$3400 from evseadapters.com. ($4000 for the dual-standard version, if you want to future-proof.)

    Electric Car Review Talking Points

Related: When looking at used EVs on cars.com, etc., the number one thing I want to know (for models where it varies) is: Does it have DCFC? How often this is answered in the ad: approximately 0% of the time. Instead, the listings are full of copy enumerating such amazing and unexpected features...

    My JuiceBox has gone wonky

It doesn't use Bluetooth. The EVSE connects to wifi, and communicates with the app over the public Internet. (!) You can also use their web site. I won't be surprised if it comes back up after I restart it, but I'll be surprised if it stays connected long, at this point. (I'm leaving it off for...

    My JuiceBox has gone wonky

The charge before last, the graph (as seen in the apps, on iOS and Android) abruptly dropped off after a few minutes, but the charge completely normally, AFAICT (almost a full charge, over five hours). Then, last night, I fully charged the car, and it never showed up in the apps at all -- in...

totally confuse on 240v charges options

I don't see any, besides the name. That isn't unusual -- http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2743 http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2747 They both explicitly cite 240V. I see no reason to doubt that.

    found ... GHW-M002 EV Remote

The remote is covered in the main i-MiEV manual. (If you don't have that, just google "i-miev manual".) I don't think there's any other documentation for it.

Almost an owner ... but need advice

There's no display in the i-MiEV that's equivalent to the Leaf's battery health gauge, but some people use Canion (q.v.) to get more detailed info on their batteries. "All bars on" and "100%" are the same thing. The only "bar" display in the i-MiEV is the charge gauge, on the left side of the...

    happy new owner

I don't think it will run when the car is off, and not plugged in? Anyway, it's a great feature if you get it working. It can save a lot of energy vs. running the heater -- the only problem then is keeping the windows clear. Oh, and you're not likely to turn it on and forget it. It gets quite hot.

Any tips to NOT damaging the main battery?

Like how the banks don't mind when you rob them, because they're insured?

Any tips to NOT damaging the main battery?

It might benefit the dealers, but clearly it penalizes the manufacturer.

    Supplemental cooling for the charger.

I don't think it's been proven, yet, that there are thermal issues -- only that greater cooling is possible. But, what matters is what temperatures are in spec for the components, not whether they're hot to the human touch.

    Portable CHAdeMO

(Too bad the forum messes up the link -- have to copy and paste.) This thing is so tempting. I see the price has come down... but also, they now offer it as a dual-standard model, so it'd be somewhat future-proof. But still, over 1/3 the cost of my car... (It would be fun to offer it on...

    Supplemental cooling for the charger.

L1 charging is less efficient, so there's a cost in terms of electricity. (I'm not sure how much.)
