Does anyone here have a "parts" MiEV? I need a tail light.

Had tiny fender bender today. Only damage driver's side tail light lens.

Whole tail light assembly has to be replaced.... lens not available separately.

Dealer wants (sit down before reading further) well over $300+ for taillight.

Found one wrecker that had one, but wrong side.

I recall that SOMEone here in the last two years purchased a wrecked MiEV to get the battery, or some REALLY expensive parts off it.

Hoping he's still around and I can talk him into selling me tail light.

Does anyone here remember who it was I'm thinking of or can help me find who that was or where his post about that is, so I can message him?

$300 doesn't surprise me. Advance Auto wanted $150 for a Cavalier headlight, and that didn't include the turn signal side piece.

I'd keep checking eBay. Right now, you can get both headlights and passenger taillight. I don't see any drivers side taillight.

The only members I know of that had parts available were Siai47 (no longer) and BenNelson with his flood car.
