From MickeyS70:

I’ve done a bit more in-depth testing of the Lexia/Diagbox clone (v7.58) I got a while back, here is what it can do with a 2011 built I-MIEV (pretending to be a Peugeot IOn or Citroen C-Zero)

- display tons of parameters for each ECU
- display and clear DCTs for each ECU
- customise some (limited) options (I could finally enable mirrors folding when remote locking)
- reset the traction battery’s capacity to 48Ah (found out by accident)
- adjust capacity by changing age of battery (not linear)
- perform battery calibration procedure (plug in, automatic discharge & recharge)
- program new transponder/remote lock keys (not tested yet)

What it cannot do, or maybe I just haven’t figured out how:
- cell smoothing (balancing)
- updating FW on any ECU (requires remote connection & activation)
- guided troubleshooting (requires remote connection & activation)
- access to service procedures and diagrams (requires remote connection & activation)

All in all a very powerful (and affordable) tool for the advanced user

Hi JoeS/All , i am a new member to this Forum with a Silver i-Miev. After the reading on several Forum i did buy a LeXia 3 clone from AliExpress China for 125 $ CND.
It did came quickly and i did try the Diagbox Software 7.01,7.02,7.57 but it was very very Slow on 2 differents Laptop and the usage was less that satisfactory so i was a bit dissapointed because there was several credential box and did not know what exactly what to answer and waisting my time. So i contacted the supplier and he did give me a Download Link to Diagbox 9.91 that run in a Win 7 32 bit virtual Machine on VmWare Workstation and the installation was much easyer on my Win 10 Laptop and the V9.91 run much faster and more ( up to date ) with more feature than the V7.57 version.

Did anyone has tried and got feedback on their usage.

Thank

Martial

Welcome to the forum

While later versions of Diagbox have generally more features theirs use is also much more restricted as most functions need server authentication.

I was told by another owner that there isn’t any point going further than V7.58 as there is no additional functionality for an I-MIEV. So what are you planning on doing exactly?

I run mine on an old win XP laptop which is a bit underpowered, but you can always install it on a virtual machine on your Laptop if you have a need for more speed…

This is not the case with for example TPMS errors. With V7 you see unknown error codes and the DiagBox V7 have no clue what this is. V9 correctly show the error codes and what they are trying to tell you.

To split up the conversation between diagbox and @kolyandex software tools, i answer to this from @MickeyS70 in this tread
Diagbox has the same functionality as the Mitsu MUT3, otherwise Peugeot/Citroën techs wouldn’t be able to support their i-MIEV clones.
But you’re correct, ‘out of the box’ the ‘free’ software only provides basic functionality. In order to use any advanced tools you need to sign up to PSA’s paid (annual?) subscription service.

This is not the case. Diagbox does not seem to be able to do at least any of the things i would like to do. To keep the things simple, i name now one thing i cant find how its done with Diagbox: Disable TPMS.
The topic about TPMS and imiev can be find here: https://myimiev.com/threads/tpms-on-i-mievs.1881

Here is a howto for disabling TPMS with Diagbox on other cars. The option is simply not there when using Diagbox with imiev.
https://lexia-3.blogspot.com/2016/03/how-to-disable-tpms-with-lexia-3-pp2000.html

It should be in ETACS -> Customer options -> Repair. But TPMS its not an option there.

I am using the versions of Diagbox released here: https://www.psa-diag.fr/diagbox/ or the even more easy to use virtual machines from here: https://psa-diag.fr/diagbox/Diagbox-vm.php

What you are talking about is the so called "Telechrging". This have been cracked(made offline available) in version 7.57 you can fully use in the VM instead of having to fiddle around to get everything working on a Windows XP machine.
In version 9 and onwards Telechrging is not fully cracked any more. But it looks like you can pay third party instead of PSA to enable it when using https://www.psa-diag.fr/diagbox/ and paying them money to get so called credits for Telecharging.

For example with my goal of disabling TPMS i do not get into any options that are telling me i would have to do Telecharging to disable TPMS. Its simply not there in the options.

The example you show for the Outlander is based on the PP2000 SW which was the predecessor.

In Diagbox TPMS settings for a triplet are apparently accessible via ETACS-ECU but theres seems to be no option to turn it off altogether. If you want to code a new set of wheels you need online access, see further information below

hjdlsnbc, have you tried any of the alternative and/or newer virtual machines found here yet? https://mhhauto.com/Forum-Virtual-Pre-installed-Images

I'm curious if they're any better? I was able to dowload the french VM of 7.52 I think it was and got it up and runnning. Tried changing it to English and it totally broke it.

I found another old blogspot site of someone offering an English conversion tool for these images but the links are all dead now. Can't find the link at the moment but will share when I find it again.

Also, this sales page on aliexpress is saying there is no need for virtual machine images any more: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005921827174.html?

Thanks. Yeah, I'm only installing this stuff onto old dedicated laptops solely for this purpose. Safer that way and more likely to work. I can also label it and keep it in the garage for future use. Good to be forewarned though. Appreciate it.

I also just found what this website recommends for the correct adapters. I'll share this info in the other thread as well for others searching in the future.

There is no need for any alternative ones. In the ones listed here https://psa-diag.fr/diagbox/Diagbox-vm.php you can change the language of the Diagbox when modify the config file of Diagbox by hand.
When you instead install without any VM https://psa-diag.fr/diagbox to your drive, then you have Diagbox already english language by default when chosen this language before and in the OS you use.

Diagbox when modify the config file of Diagbox by hand.
I'd be interested in how to modify the config file if you can share the exact details.

But I also figured out how to change the language of Diagbox by clicking on the top left GUI drop down arrow and selecting settings, then Language and choosing english. I'll try to post screenshots later to help out future users.

What it cannot do, or maybe I just haven’t figured out how:
- cell smoothing (balancing)

I try in the CMU screen and I think is only for information, when the charging is finish I see "Balancing" some cells with 4V1, and the others, say "Unbalanced" when not have 4V1.

I’ve observed the same, there doesn’t seem to be a balancing option in Diagbox, therefore assuming that it doesn’t exist in MUT3 either.

But HobDrive has a ‘cell smoothing’ screen, although it seems more miss than hit trying to get it to work.
