It’s rare enough for someone to own one triplet but two? Something strikes me as odd, are you sure that the older car has less cells, as it’s usually the other way around?

I was surprised too. I noticed that when ion broke. Canion shows 88 cells at c-zero (registration 2013) and 80 cells at ion (dec 2012). Is it possible that c-zero would be produced in 2012 or 2011?

Yes, registration and build date are two different things, if you put the VIN into a decoder, it will tell you when it was manufactured.

I've got 2, too, here on the Isle of Colonsay, Scotland - a 2009 i-MiEV and a 2012 Ion. The island's owner has another 3 (and 2 e-NV200s)...
