OK, Here are the cabin air filters. The only difference I see from the OEM filter is the OEM filter has charcoal impregnated into the filter material. This is to remove orders. Thats why the OEM appears dirty, its not dirty that's the charcoal.

That's the correct air flow direction. It should be in the owner's.

Another way I used to do with other cars I've had was to find a regular domestic ENGINE intake filter the same thickness and a bit larger than the cabin filter to be replaced, and trim it down if possible - or else if the shape is too different, just cut the filter elements out of both new & old filters, and hot-glue the new element into the old frame. I've also used pleated home air conditioner filter elements and just squished them to fit in the old frame with approximately the same number of pleats - And you can get home A/C pleated filters already impregnated with activated charcoal. :mrgreen:

Man, I've found some of these things on eBay and other places, but they're either very expensive and usually on foreign shopping sites (from UK to Russia). For example, on eBay a UK seller is selling a Blue Print brand filter for i-MiEV's for $48 USD. :shock:

Here's some cross-reference part numbers that I SUSPECT are the same as the i-MiEV (check dimensions 179x179x20 mm). Believe it or not, the only sources I found for the Fram filter was foreign shopping sites too - Not willing to send them my credit card number!

I sense a moneymaking opportunity here, trimming domestic engine intake filters down to i-MiEV size and selling them on eBay, if I can find some that are similar enough in size :mrgreen:

Yes, you right eBay's search returns the wrong items. Search eBay for "cabin air filter 7803A012". That is the Mitsubishi part number.

As you said I'm not really finding any there. I am checking with my source in Singapore to see if they have any quantity of the filters we bought in the past.
