Hi everyone
2014 I-Miev:
Has anybody else been searching for information about the 2014?
The Mitsubishi web-site indicates a 2014 model will be availabe, however all the pictures have a footnote indicating the "car pictured" is a 2012. I did notice that the quoted range is still 62 miles so it appears that the battery pack hasn't changed. I was hoping to find some information about an upgraded on board charger from 3.3 to 6.6 kw.
Has anyone else been able to determine any changes other than dropping the raspberry (Melbec) color for 2014?

If you look at information on trim and features, it appears that the ES has been dropped, which I can believe (it makes more sense to drop SE prices to below where the ES was and drop the ES altogether). The 2014 doesn't show the 12A L1 EVSE and heated front passenger seat from the 2013 Canadian model, but I have a lot of trouble believing they'd be that stupid, so hope that's just old info and/or sloppy editing. CHAdeMO does not appear to be standard equipment (I suppose that's good news for those who don't want to pay for "useless" QC), but there's not enough detail to see whether it is still a standalone option (as it was on the ES) or only available in the Premium package (as it was on the old SE). I fervently hope it's not Premium only - that would be a major step back and incredibly stupid.

And, of course, no clue on pricing. We know it needs to be less than a LEAF S, but Mitsubishi has so far seemed quite oblivious to things we all know.

That's probably about it. Same batteries, same 3.3kW charger - those are serious changes, and it's quite clear those aren't in the works. I expect the i-MiEV to stay largely unchanged, though I hold out some hope for cosmetic changes to the interior to shut up some of the incessant whining on that score. For anything significant, we'll probably need to wait for the EV version of the next-generation kei-derived Mitsu/Nissan joint venture "world" car. I just hope MMNA's dealer network doesn't pack up their tents before that point, especially after being forced to wait at least another year for the Outlander PHEV (on that front, I wonder if Nissan might supply batteries to ease supply problems in exchange for access to their own version of that CUV?).
