If you ever have to maximize your mileage, go about 25 mph. It seems counterintuitive because you are spending more time on the road but in reality you will get the most miles out of the Miev. This could really save you if you get into a turtle situation.

Get your car washed every April after all the snow is gone and the salt is washed off the roads. Washing it anymore than that is just a waste of money and an exercise in futility.

Get a large dog and keep it in the car. A large dog gives off the same amount of heat as a 100 watt light bulb.

I'm surprised Mitsubishi didn't see that possibility (longer rear end) during their design phase and then built it that way. Imagine tons more space AND better MPGe!!!!!

I couldn't find the answers in this forum. I have a 2012 with 29k miles. I'd like to have at least a ballpark of how much time / miles I have left until battery failure.

Age of battery? Miles on battery? Cost to replace? How long can we expect the battery to last in years and miles?

Thanks for posting those images about gearing. It looks like ECO mode is the best overall mode to keep it in. D mode for steep uphills. B mode for steep downhills. I would like to do a few round trip tests in each mode to compare battery conservation.

Which mode will get you the best range for: Highway? City? I did a test by going 20 miles in one direction in D mode then returned on the same route in Eco mode. It was 60 mph the whole time. Funny thing is that I used less bars in the D mode. What are other people's experiences with driving...

Just bought a 2012 white i-miev with 27k miles for $7.5k. It's in nearly perfect condition. I love this car so far. It drive differently than an ICE car, I would say it drives 'clean', by that I mean it feels more pure, like there is not the wasted energy of an ICE car with all the cams, gears...
