Still a small blue square with a question mark in it for me. Are the photos you're linking to in a public folder of your dropbox account?

    Audi kracht in Elektroauto

it looks like one of the cars took down a telegraph pole too - maybe that was the Audi?

    Emissions measurement - a non-hippy view

In the UK we have at least one "Pumped Storage" power station, which uses off-peak power to pump a lake full of water up through a mountain to a high reservoir. There are huge turbines in the mountain, and the water in the top reservoir is released through these turbines at times of high demand...

    Emissions measurement - a non-hippy view

Don't forget if you start taking CO2 output of electricity generation into account for electric vehicles, you need to take into account CO2 emissions of producing and transporting petrol/diesel fuel as well as the CO2 produced burning it in the car for a meaningful comparison. How far can an...

Euro spec i-MiEV, 2013 mod, LED headlights

so how come my heating controls are in a horizontal line, but all the other pictures here have them in a vertical line - was that a model year change, or is it a LHD vs RHD thing?

Euro spec i-MiEV, 2013 mod, LED headlights

I just measured my Peugeot iOn front seat spacing - I measured the distance between the central groove on the backrests about 3/4 the way up, and it came out at 60cm. Where exactly are you measuring Joe (so I can try and measure the same dimension)?

Citroen C-Zero charging from Mennekes 32A stations

I bought a 32A Mennekes to J1772 cable for just over £214 from here: http://www.zerocarbonworld.org/shop I haven't used it yet, but some of the free charging stations in my area do use this type of connector, and while the price is a little more than a 16A cable on ebay, I prefer to have...

Got my free charging station fitted yesterday

Thanks for those links - some interesting options for me to think about. I'm uneasy about sending the stock EVSE on such a long journey, plus where I live most of the few charging points have standard UK sockets (or "blue commando" sockets), there are only a couple that have "proper" EVSE's and...

Got my free charging station fitted yesterday

maybe I should build myself an OpenEVSE thing, so I could have full control over the charging current - has anyone on here built one?

Got my free charging station fitted yesterday

The cable is fully armoured, and is attached to its own dedicated MCB, and has its own independent earth - all done to what the installers thought was a paranoid level of safety - but that's what the UK wiring regulations require for this kind of installation. Good idea re. the cabinet to...

Got my free charging station fitted yesterday

I have no way of charging at 110V/120V - that voltage is not available in my country, nor is an EVSE charger that would work with it as far as I know...

Got my free charging station fitted yesterday

It was free because of a government subsidy. The trade off is it has a mobile phone sim card in it, and phones home to log usage statistics for the government. It makes charging much more convenient, and safer too when it's raining, as I don't have to fiddle with plugging the supplied EVSE...

Got my free charging station fitted yesterday

Got my free charging station fitted yesterday. 240V up to 16A - should speed up my charging a little (previously been using the standard 240V 10A EVSE)

    Banging Noise

It could be the ABS system doing a self-test - check out this thread: http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=219&start=0 My iOn does this too, making a "clunk" kind of noise within the first few yards of travel.

is that a G4 or one of those pretty coloured ones? While you're in the UK, if you fancy seeing a "skinny" I-MiEV (a Peugeot euro-clone actually), then just drive the 600-800 miles south to where I live - I'd be happy to give you a look at and a drive in my car (and sample of the local brew in...
