    Not an owner (yet?)

@toecheese, welcome and thanks for asking, especially as you identified your requirements. 1) Affordability as you have defined it for the long term - battery replacement from the manufacturer is prohibitively expensive (>$15KUSD), but you can peruse the ongoing efforts of some of our members...

Immobile i-MiEV with RBS and Electric Motor Unit Warning Lights

@kiev and @martinwinlow , thank you for your comments. I have the i909 CarSoft scanner, found my old Android tablet with its apps and the old OBDLink LX and also have the newer MX and a few other dongles, and am still trying to get my new Android tablet to do something. No problem with buying...

Immobile i-MiEV with RBS and Electric Motor Unit Warning Lights

Reviving this thread and back to the original topic of the car's inability to provide any motive power despite being in READY after something went wrong when the car basically stalled out with the accelerator floored while dragging a log up a steep driveway. My neighbor finally took the car to...

    i-Miev Cabin Heater stop heating

In the early days of this forum, replacing the i-MiEV's electric heater with readily-available commercial liquid fuel vehicle heaters was relatively-easy and very effective, but not environmentally-friendly. Here are a couple of threads that touch on the subject...

    Jakob N's Cell Change Thread

@Jakob N , thanks for posting. I'm curious what your various Ah readings are using each app?

    Suddenly charging to 70% only

@ Eco Jon, thanks for adding your location (New Forest). Oooh, I see it's not far from the National Motor Museum. Is there anyone in Jon's vicinity with an OBD dongle and app who might help Jon check his battery? (Note: Jon and I had exchanged a PM as he asked about 12v battery health as well)

Can you lock all doors from inside?

Back on topic, a word of WARNING: it is very easy to lock the car key INSIDE the i-MiEV by inadvertently depressing that lock button and then closing the door.

    Suddenly charging to 70% only

@Eco Jon, welcome to the forum. Sadly, it appears that your traction battery may be losing one or more cells. This symptom was one of the conditions for a Mitsubishi warranty battery replacement. Here's a list of the apps, as I believe all of them will show the individual cell voltages (I use...

    TPMS on i-MiEVs

The i-MiEV's TPMS doesn't provide a reading but simply results in a low pressure warning. It's one of the icons on the instrument cluster (left side) and lights up when a tire gets low (but not high). I'm old school, have an air compressor in my garage, check my i-MiEVs' tires monthly (I think...

    TPMS on i-MiEVs

Continuing going off-topic, in the US we only had model years 2012, 2014, and 2016, although one member claimed he had a 2017. OTOH, IIRC in Canada there was a 2013 (and 2015?) Back on topic, I've never had a problem with any TPMS on any of my three 2012 i-MiEVs over the year (knock on wood)...

    Exploring my car range

The i-MiEV's Range Remaining (RR) algorithm reduces the range by about 10% for aircon and 20% for heating, also slightly affected by fan setting.

Overriding ( bypass) the plug-in interlock circuit

@kimi E, before expending any further effort on your project and consuming our members' time, have you done the math?

What’s the best OBD Dongle for my i-MiEV and Android phone?

@Nemo12, if you utilize this website's (now) very good search engine, you will find most of your questions already addressed. @MickeyS70 answered your direct question, but you might peruse this one which provides further links on the topic...

I need spare wheels for my iMiev

Inasmuch as someone lurking on this forum might be able to help you, it's nice to know where in the world someone is located, as we occasionally find other i-MiEV owners close to us. You might consider updating your profile (which will show your location by your username whenever you post), the...

    Replacement 'Ignition' Key

Almost nine years after originating this post and the spare key never having been used, I managed to inadvertently lock myself out of the car with the key lying on the seat. This most probably occurred by my inadvertently hitting the lock button as I had just cleaned the car. Luckily, it...

    broken remote control for charging

@Eric N-K, welcome to the forum. The previous discussion dealt with transplanting the display screen from an unknown Remote to a known good one. Since that time we have learned how to reprogram a Remote to another car - details...

    EvBatMon

Good news: here's the Android link to the EVBatMon app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.EvPositive.EvBatMon_iMiEV I've added it in the OBD apps thread https://myimiev.com/threads/smartphone-tablet-apps-for-i-miev-c-zero-and-ion.4936/#post-43755

I'm buying a non-runner MIEV here in Japan!

After all that - so sorry to hear. Thank you for all the details. BTW, my 2012 i-MiEVs will not 'start' (i.e., go into READY) in N, but only 'start' in P.

    EvBatMon

The links to the EVBatMon app (both iOS and Android) were not only broken but were replaced by some pretty weird stuff. I've deleted those links. Thank you @Mars for bringing this to our attention. Does anyone know whatever happened to @zzcoopej in Australia? Update 7 October 2024 I received...

    Battery Capacity/Degradation

The 2015 car has LEV50N cells. Anecdotally, in my case, they are significantly superior over time than their predecessors. I had a pack replaced in 2015 and a couple of weeks ago had a RR of 71 miles at a (rare for me) 100%SoC.
