Good find as this step isn’t mentioned in the SRS-ECU replacement procedure or general VIN coding? I gather this should apply when using a new SRS-ECU that has no VIN set, probably a 50:50 chance that re-coding (if required) will work.

Hello and welcome to the forum Your 2012 IMiev was probably built in 2011 and equipped with 1st Gen LEV50 cells. They are not known to ‘age‘ well and despite the low(ish) mileage their SoH will not be great ((you don’t have the current capacity at hand?). You might be lucky and someone nearby...

Assuming your car was imported from France it should have a standard DIN connector, you can find the pinout online

Looks like your battery capacity needs updating, what is its current value (in Ah)? There are ways to calibrate the battery in one go if you don’t want to do this gradually.

Because you don’t need to have/buy a spare laptop? Some folks like to support developers and use legitimate SW. IMHO $20 is a fair price considering what it can do, that it works with cheap OBD dongles and can be used with any car brand/model.

According to @hjdlsnbc it’s possible to clear these faults with original VCI’s? Looks like it’s done via K-Line comms, CAN bridge won’t help here, unfortunately. Afaik SRS ECU isn’t VIN coded.

You could inflate the tyres to 2.6bar to see if that makes a difference when it gets colder again?

Good price, does that include custom and tax charges? Lithium batteries can be ‘left on the shelf’ for a long time due to low self discharge. Adding 8 additional cells with a higher capacity would not have been ideal, but should have worked. Any idea of the dimensions/capacity of these?
