Replacement windshield wiper fluid resevoir cap

I'm having no luck searching for a replacement online, although I figure a broad array of inexact substitutes should work. Temporarily, I'm using duct tape. :D

    Ev Trucks

Um... good? I've mentioned before: LCD monitors in general, and my i-MiEV's rear-view display specifically, get washed out in sunlight. They might be OK if they were transflective. But even then, you've got the simple reliability of a mirror vs. complex electronics with many more potential...

    Rarer than a Mirai!

At least we can say the i-MiEV is more evenly distributed. I've seen i-MiEVs; never seen a Mirai in person. I assume they're mostly in California, like the fueling stations (apparently there are also two stations in South Carolina, one in Massachusetts and one in Connecticut -- none near me)...

    Outlander PHEV thread

I'm going to be generous and assume that you just skipped a few steps in writing down your argument, because what you wrote makes no sense whatsoever. Actually, no. Battery prices are steadily declining, and apart from the battery, BEVs are already simpler and thus cheaper to build than ICE...

    Mouse in the Miev!

But there's also much less waste heat, so if anything, I'd have guessed that EVs would be less attractive to mice. :?:

EV prices in the next 3 years.

Eh, $1000 sounds about right to me. Average driving is said to be 10,000-15,000 miles a year... let's assume 10,000 for simplicity. A typical ICE car gets 25 MPG -- that's 400 gallons/year. And the price of gasoline is hovering around $2.50/gallon, last I looked -- $2.50 * 400 = $1000.

    They want my car

...only now, "they" includes random guys in a parking lot: Him: (rolls down his window as he passes going the other way, starts talking to me) Wow, I never saw one of those! Is that new? What year is that? Me: 2012 Him: [More admiring comments, then] Wanna sell it? Me: (laughs) No. I don't...

    Detaching the 12 volt

To bring this saga up to date -- I'm still running on the original battery. (I still haven't put the battery cover back on, either, although it seems to be superfluous.) I never could get the damn positive terminal off, but I thought I'd return to the project at some point, and I thought the...

    2016/17 Passenger Air Bag Recall

It sounds identical to the recall for the same issue in earlier model years.

    Routine Maintenance

Yeah, you'd think so, but last I heard, EVgo had yet to turn a profit.

    EVs in Everyday Life

    White Bolt at Target today.

    EVs in Everyday Life

Blue Bolt at the grocery store today (the same store that often has a Leaf, though not this time). Just by chance, I parked across from it and one space over.

    EVs in Everyday Life

I passed an i3 going the other way this morning, as I took my i-MiEV into the local Mitsubishi dealer, to finally get my recalls done. (Apparently they were done with no problem, it passed the free inspection, and I paid nothing.)

    Tesla-J1772 Adapter

Superchargers are locked down. Regular wall chargers (or whatever they call them) are just J1772 devices with a different pinout.

Want one, but cautious. Opinions please.

I don't think the i-MiEV comes in red? The only colors I've seen are white, black, silver, purple, blue, and blue/white. I hope you hit up a Smart forum for advice as well; I think some of the previous comments here were perhaps less than objective. ;)

Oh look another new i-MIEV owner!

Truly, I don't understand how humans can live there. Although I guess it's balmy compared to Siberia.

    2nd Gen Tesla Roadster

That's the one noise it makes in the videos -- squealing tires. They may not hold up long.

    2nd Gen Tesla Roadster

Ten times the range of my i-MiEV, and about ten times its (new) price. So that checks out. ;)

    Charging experience in the UK

That sounds like a three-phase unit. I wouldn't expect that to work with an i-MiEV -- it puts out 400V. I'm not sure what they do work with, besides the Zoe. Anyway, you couldn't get more than 3.3kw out of it if it did work.
