The Troubleshooting and Repair for On-board Charger (OBC) Thread

Not to derail the thread, but if we're contemplating replacing the charger, it would be... interesting... if we could upgrade it, to a faster rate, at the same time. Conceivable? Impractical?

    Poo Powered i-MiEV

I made a similar comment to praxidice's last year, wondered where it went -- turns out this is a duplicate thread: http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3774

Re-Imagined: Mitsubishi i-MiEV Rendered As a Tiny Nissan EV

From InsideEVs.com: https://insideevs.com/next-mitsubishi-miev-rendered-tiny-nissan-ev/ Not quite as cute as the original, IMHO. Kinda looks like a Spark.

    Strange things with quick charging

Although we have 16 kWh, and 16 bars, I don't think the mapping is linear.

    12V battery BCI Size?

I can add that a regular 151R is a perfect fit -- no boards needed. :)

    Global Warming's Terrifying New Math

Eh, but handheld electronics have probably provided a bigger impetus.

    Global Warming's Terrifying New Math

An excellent presentation of the science behind AGW and an explanation of how solid it is. Too bad most of the people who really need to see it never will.

240V Charging and Extension cables (Amazing-E)

There are many, many EVSEs that come with 4-pin plugs (most commonly the 14-50). But generally, their neutral is unconnected. I see no sign that the AmazingE is different -- they state that it needs a ground, don't mention neutral, and correctly point out that NEMA 10-* are obsolete, and that...

240V Charging and Extension cables (Amazing-E)

If you remove the neutral prong from a 14-30 plug, it will fit into either a 14-30 or 14-50 receptacle, as well as into the rarely-seen 14-60. Most EVSEs don't use the neutral at all, so this is pretty safe. I dunno about the AmazingE. I'm not sure what you're asking about the charging times. A...

how to find the MAC Address of a level 2 Blink EVSE ?[crude solution]

    iMiEV as workhorse

I've been thinking about getting a new TV, but I don't want to pay for delivery. So, I measured the available space in the car, then went around measuring boxes in Best Buy. I think I might just barely be able to fit in a 55", but it'll be tight.

    ChargePoint Charging Question

Personally, I swipe the Chargepoint key fob rather than using the app. No problems that way, IIRC.

I have a secret - odometer display mystery

My 2012 i-MiEV had barely over a thousand miles on it when I bought it in 2015. Of course, it turned out to have kind of a weird history -- originally "owned" by the City of Gaithersburg, who I later found out had received it for free from the dealer (the same one where I eventually got it)...

    I'm pretty sure that's not a thing.

Replacement windshield wiper fluid resevoir cap

Heh, thanks. But to be clear, there's no shortage of caps available online; it's just that, when I check for compatibility, they all say no. The yeggi results don't seem much different in that respect -- no explicit compatibility checker, but no "i-MiEV" mentioned, either. I was hoping someone...

    EVs in Everyday Life

I saw my first Tesla Model 3 today, at the Amish market. At least, I think that's what it was... I didn't get too close, but that front end is distinctive.

    Detaching the 12 volt

Well, I finally replaced the battery today. I'd left on the same damn cabin light again yesterday, and today the car would sort of start, but not go into Ready. I got various error lights, including the battery indicator. Weighing my options, I got out my multimeter and checked the voltage on...
