factory looking clock on the dasboard - DIY

Here's how you make it show up: Imgur isn't as good of an inline host as it used to be, because they want to push their new(ish) social interface. But, it's not as hard as you guys are making it.

    DIY Windscreen Defroster

This shows up as "Image", "Image" for me. (I am able to see them by quoting the message and cutting and pasting the URLs from there.)

Replacement windshield wiper fluid resevoir cap

BTW, that first cap I printed wasn't ideal, since I did it in PLA. I eventually printed a new one in PETG, which required some adjustments, and the filament I had for that one was black.

    VW ID.4 EV

How do you figure? Of course, it's going to vary based on your situation; and if you've already optimized for an i-MiEV, then I can see where you'd want a replacement to use the same location. But, to the extent I can be objective about it, it seems to me that the best positions are: 1. The...

    End of the line...?

They stopped the North American version a few years ago. Now, they're stopping altogether.

    Porsche Taycan

"The Taycan has charge ports in the two front side sections of the body. The vehicle can be charged on both sides using alternating current (in most markets), on the right-hand side it can also be charged using direct current." -- https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/products/taycan/charging-18558.html

    Blink Charging Network

I got the "Pro" emails, but I didn't see any benefit to me (only a benefit to Blink), so I've ignored them. There's only one Blink station around here that I've ever used (the local Ikea). I also own a broken Blink EVSE that sits in my garage. :) (It was broken when I bought it. I hoped I might...

Replacement windshield wiper fluid resevoir cap

So, I bought a 3D printer the other day, and I actually did print a wiper cap. Not that any of the existing models were compatible, but I took one and scaled down the diameter. It took a few iterations to get it right, but it's on now: Until now, I was still using the original duct tape. :)

Wanted-2012 owners manual and rear headrests

Manual PDF: https://carmanuals2.com/get/mitsubishi-i-miev-2012-owner-s-manual-36874 The thing about the rear headrests is, the back seats can't lay flat if they're in. That's probably why they were taken out of yours, although of course they should've been put back prior to sale.

    An I-MiEV in Parade Magazine

I see that so often, I think the news outfits must have it filed under stock footage of EVs, ever since 2010 or so. I see it more than I ever saw i-MiEVs in real life in the U.S., besides my own.

    Nobody? Seems clear now, anyway.

    Squishy shifter

A weird problem has hit my i-MiEV in the last few days -- the shifter makes a kind of "wet" sound. It still works, and the feel isn't really different. It's not consistent, and may even have cleared up today, but it still concerns me.

    I-Miev stopped charging

The 12V battery is a standard 151R. There are many replacement models available.

    CCS/SAE

I wouldn't say that, but, it's true that CHAdeMO was the standard on two of the earliest of the "modern" (2011-) EVs in the U.S., and is unlikely to be seen on many more going forward. That's not because it's technically inferior, but CCS has the backing of all the U.S. and European car...

    Charging two i-Mievs

...although I hope you won't try to run two 32 A EVSEs off a single 50 A outlet at the same time. Personally I'd be more comfortable with two outlets, each on its own circuit.

PR: GS Yuasa to double driving range

...and the new management at Nissan seems pretty anti-EV: https://ww.electrek.co/2020/01/02/did-a-nissan-exec-really-just-say-that-ev-charging-is-too-difficult-for-women/ Idiots.

Recent recall for brake vacuum pump. Issue of distant dealership.

No notice for me yet. Fortunately a Mitsubishi dealer opened in my town a few years ago... they did my last recall... had the green "i" and everything, although I assume that program is no longer in effect. (?)
