Are there any components on the OBC that could be (easily) replaced before faults occur and/or would prevent faults occurring ? For example, in Meade computer-controlled amateur telescopes there are 20V Tantalum capacitors on the 12V powered boards that blow after about 20 years of use...

Okay, ignore the glovebox reference. Two screws and pull.

The fuse for the ASC system powers other devices. So the simplest fix is to pull the connector off the back of the ASC switch. It's in the lower panel that is held by two screws at the very bottom,. Then a sharp tug with the glovebox open will pull the panel off.

Need to touch-up the kerb rash.

Sorry to hear about Aerowhatt. My search through the wiring diagrams reveals: That plug E-03, on the rear face of the DC-DC converter, carries constant 12V from the Relay Box on pin 7. And switched 12V from the On Board Charger Relay on pin 2.

Found a blank on the UK mitzybitz,com site to fill the hole. It was part 73034 for the PAJERO SHOGUN V26W MK2 2.8T, but it fitted.. I searched for a new switch, but almost all that was available were switches engraved "HI LO". Or a Hyundai Galloper switch that might fit, for £103 !!

I didn't know the I-MIEV has a Traction Control switch, perhaps the US version has this ? There is an ASC (Active Stability Control) switch. ASC handles the ABS anti-lock braking, stability control, and traction control. So do you want to permanently disable all of those, or just the traction...

The OBDLink dongle, ordered last night, arrived this morning. Boy that's a really fast service ! Battery volts range is 4V to 3.995V - seems unusually good for an old car ? Capacity % is not one of the readings ? Michael
