    Why is everything coming on when hook up charged 12v battery

    A 12V battery that has repeatedly been allowed to drain to "dead" may not recharge. As soon as you connect the "charged" battery onto the car it may briefly power the car and then die. Do the multi meter tests kiev suggests. And look after the new battery........ :->

    If you mean the small repeater on the side it's MR522027, with a clear lens. That number seems to apply to lots of Mitsi models, so is only a few bucks to replace.

    How long does it take to Balance, to get to where the Charging Indicator on the dash goes out ? I've charged for 8 hours of 4hr Off-Peak electricity periods at 16A, sits at Full on the "Petrol Gauge" but the Indicator never goes out ?

    Thanks. Yes I should eventually get the memory right, my wife has the same difficulty. I've realised that the cabin lights stay on for a while, so the driver's door can be closed while I'm groping.
