    Electric cars in press

Found this article about electric cars. Not a lot of Miev's being sold. They called it like a golf cart. http://business.time.com/2013/12/07/the-major-problem-with-electric-cars/?hpt=hp_t5 It reports that 75 mile range on a single charge is superior versus 60 on the Miev. I don't know that I'd...

    Resetting the Maintenence Meter

Mike, I found on page 3-65 in the manual how to reset it. (going from memory on that page #) I did not try though. It says that it will reset itself after a "certain" time. I thought I might wait to see just if it actually does reset on its own. I don't know exactly what the mileage was when it...

    Resetting the Maintenence Meter

So it has been a year and my maintenance meter shows ------- for how many miles or months until the first maintenance service is due. I took care of that myself but now: how do you reset the month/miles until maintenance is required? I don't think I could find it in the manual. Anyone know? Steve

    Claiming tax credit delayedyour refund/return?

Does any one know how many times you can claim the $7,500 tax credit? I am wondering if I bought another Miev if I can get the federal credit again. It would be in a new tax year.

Thanks John, I'll take 2 of them. Could you tell me how to pay? I think I have a Paypal acct but have not used it much recently. I think it has a credit card set up. You could send me info to --- Steve PS I have to remember to "think outside the box" sometimes. Just bend the sides in is too...

    Cabin Air Filters

I took a quick look and couldn't see how to take the glove box off to access the filter. Any tips on how to remove it to access the filter? I would be interested in a filter if you have any left jjlink. (if I can figure out how to get to it :) ) Thanks, Steve

    Heater and Remote

I discovered that that the remote won't start the heater if one of the doors is not fully shut. I plugged in the car to charge for the night and charging started up OK as normal. I hadn't realized that the passenger door was slightly cracked open though. When I woke up the next day and used the...

    Charger locking Device

I think there is a hole to insert a pin device into the charger handle which prevents the trigger from releasing the cord from the car. You might be able to find a type of lock that would fit in there. I haven't had to do it but I remember from year ago there is a hole there on the Level I cable...

    2013 Mitsubishi I Suggestions

This would be nice. My Toyota Hybrid has this feature. :) Another big improvement would be to put the button that cycles through the displays on the radio or center console. I don't know how many times I have bumped the wiper lever reaching to push the button on the instrument cluster. It's so...

    how green are EVs?

What do you mean "...goes to waste."? Electricity made is used when it's made unless you are converting and storing it.

    Correct seat warmer usage ?

Did you hold it in? I think it must be pushed for three seconds or so to de-activate it.

    Reactions from bystanders

Yep, people don't really realize that there are production electric cars "out there".

    Minimum Range Remaining

Wow Jenn. So did you charge it all the way up and if so, how long did it take at what level? I read that when the charge state gauge says there is no charge left, there is actually still ~ 8% in the batteries. The onboard OS will probably not let you use it though to protect the batteries. Fuel Gauge Question

As I recall, my orange insert says to take the battery level down to two bars and fully recharge every 24 months. The manual also says to fully charge the vehicle every two weeks. (it didn't say it had to be discharged to any special level before this though.) Also, it does say not to "top it...
