Upholstery is dark brown... Almost black and felt-like... Perfectly designed to catch and hold our medium/short-haired Dog's shedding hair. Picture a cros between a blond lab and a German shepherd. 
So wife won't let us take him in the hatchback with or without seatbacks down.
After all the MiEV is now "her" new baby.
Found lot's of aftermarket cargo area liners, but most (all?) look like they only cover the horizontal surface and his fur is equal opportunity fur and would cling to sides where upholstered.
Any source of a liner that goes up the sides of hatchback ... Sort of create a catch all almost up to windows?
