Best value software & hardware to diagnose car

Hello,

My 2012 I-miev has stopped charging with 120/240V charger and now it no longer goes into ready mode. I would like to purchase some hardware and software that can help diagnose the issue.

What is best value software and hardware that I should buy to get started. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Btw, I removed my 12v battery and will fully charge it to see if car is able to at least get back into ready mode as there is 50% charge on main battery bank.

Hi,

I used an icarsoft i909 to diagnose a failed LTC voltage monitoring chip on my 2011 i-miev. The detail it gave on errors was very good.

They are around £90 new but I found one for £50 second hand.
