    Hello from West Michigan

Mickey is spot on. If the problem conditions are just right for allowing the BMU to correct it over time, discharging and allowing ample enough time for a full recharge and balance period can bring outlying cells closer to where they should have been. It only creeps up, but charge/balance after...

You know what I'm gonna convert this thing to diesel

    Hello from West Michigan

I appreciate the clarification I was mostly just speculating, because the only thing that's clear in regards to any pattern existing is that it's two sets of four modules, and they happen to sit at the four end spots of the first and second halves of the 88 total cells. I didn't even know if...

    ah dang it. 85-88

    Hello from West Michigan

gotcha. i got a screencap of that page. Oh undoubtedly. Still appreciate the willingness of community members to help brainstorm root causes and potential solutions when it was still more murky. It's 41-44, then again between 84-88 I figured that had something to do with each set of four...

    Hello from West Michigan

I'm usually using CanIon when i'm connected to the obd2 device, so I don't have a solid timeline of the Ah reading while I've owned this car, but just a few minutes ago I got 28.8 on OBDZero. I've been hesitant to speculate as to whether there was going to be anything else worth getting back...

    Hello from West Michigan

Cool to see someone else from the area on the forum Between my initial posts and recent, I've swapped in a new aux battery (the original was dated from 2013), put in LED headlight bulbs, and charged it from ~20% SoC as often as was practical. It's definitely got the original cells, but every...

I think it's just one bad cell...

Mickey, thanks for putting the data into graph format! I was looking through the rows upon rows last night and had become fixated on the SoC of #7, thinking about how that reading was affecting my range estimate.. I was thinking it would be a good idea for me to: -swap in a new aux battery...

I think it's just one bad cell...

My fault.. I didn't take the time last night to properly identify the differences between the file categories.

I think it's just one bad cell...

I did the 'start all' function, thinking that'd catch worthwhile data. These are the three files that have date and time stamps that match the drive I just took.

I think it's just one bad cell...

so it looks like the difference varied about .06V between higher and lower average voltage. it had been one full night and day of being left on a 120V plug when I did the drive for these screenshots, and it was showing an initial range estimate of 22 miles, which was the highest I've seen it...

I think it's just one bad cell...

I took a trip for some errands today and got some shots at different SoCs. It looks like the difference between the regular and outlying voltages aren't perfectly linear, but I don't know if there would be any leniency there. I did some reading in the linked thread, and the thread linked within...

    Part For Sale LEV50 cells

Any chance you'd somehow still have, or maybe know any local leads on an LEV50? I'm not in town, but I'm a handful of hours drive away and looking for one.

I think it's just one bad cell...

I have yet to go through some of the smaller maintenance tasks with my recent MiEV purchase, like a new 12v aux battery, and I haven't given the car more than a full day on the charger to see if the cell will somehow reach the voltage of its comrades. I did, however, buy an OBD MX+ and install...

    Hello from West Michigan

Hi fellow iMiEV owners! I recently bought a used 2012 ES that's charging to 15 to 20 miles for $1000, and am hoping I can maintain enough perseverance to improve this thing. I will likely be posting information as I learn more about my new vehicle, and will be visiting as frequently as I have...
