Part For Sale Vacuum pump (like new), front wheel bearing NEW, OEM radio (like new)

If only during turning, that sounds like a suspension or balljoint issue, maybe? I'd suggest it might be a CV joint, but the i-Miev's aren't front wheel drive. If you had a wheel bearing starting to go, you'd notice it sounds like a hum that begins at a certain speed, and then starts sounding...

Part For Sale Vacuum pump (like new), front wheel bearing NEW, OEM radio (like new)

Hello, I traded in my 2012 i-Miev back in July, and have a few new (or like new) parts to sell. Can: OEM vacuum pump - practically new. I hooked it up and it worked amazing - so amazing that it blew my rusted vac lines. I had the brake recall and decided to do the new pump myself bc the...

Recall issue with dealership - need advice

Thank you for the reply, and that's what I think - it's a safety recall, IT HAS TO BE DONE. I have no issue paying for any parts ($200 or so) beyond the vac pump as the car has saved us so much in maintenance and fuel costs over the 5 years of ownership - give and take, and I'll gladly give a...

Recall issue with dealership - need advice

I'm in Clarington, and the dealership (that has a tech trained for iMievs) is in Ajax. It was either there, or Peterborough. Ajax is closer. I ran into the issue that others encountered for recalls - distance to the dealership vs. range of the iMiev.

Recall issue with dealership - need advice

Hello, The vacuum pump recall still needs to be done on my 2012 iMiev - I got the notice back in Feb 2020 but delayed everything because of COVID. Haven't had any braking issues this entire time... In February 2022 I took it in to have the vac pump and the airbag recall done - airbag recall...

    Front wheel bearing replacement

What your describing sounds like a steering linkage/joint, or maybe a worn ball-joint. Bearings will sound like you have a jet engine under the hood - it will roar/hum louder the faster you drive. Mine started getting audible around the 50KM mark, and got worse the faster I went - there was no...

    Front wheel bearing replacement

Sorry, i haven't been on here in quite a while. I replaced the driver's side earlier on this year (Jan 2020). Getting the hub and bearing out is straight-forward - follow the instructions from the service manual on mmc-manuals.ru. The issue is getting the new bearing back on - you will need a...

    Front wheel bearing replacement

Ok. this is both exciting and scary at the same time. I have done a little more research on YouTube and found a few videos that are similar to how I would approach this without a shop press. I'll try posting the process in the next week or so, just waiting on the parts and tools to arrive this week.

    Front wheel bearing replacement

Hello, My 2012 i-Miev (65,000kms) front wheel bearing(s) are going - it makes the jet engine (roar) sound as speed increases. I am going to repair both at the same time for peace of mind, and while I have all the tools out. I'll be using the slide hammer kit to remove the hub from bearing, and...
