    Electronic sound to alert pedestirans

And I'd still love even more someone figuring out how to hack the sound so we could replace it with whatever we wanted! NB

    Unlikely front brake wearout?

And now for "The Rest of the Story" ;), (apologies to Paul Harvey for that) So, turned out that one of 4 pads was worn out due to it being stuck in the caliper. I was told that the front brakes need to be pulled out and the calipers lubed every 2 years per the service guide, which made me laugh...

    Unlikely front brake wearout?

Local Mitsu Dealer, not iMiev Certified, first one they've seen. Both the outboards are like new. Inboards are hard to see through the inspection holes, but I think they're fine. Going to take it to another independant shop first of the week and get confirmation they're fine. NB

    Unlikely front brake wearout?

Left them full size so you can have a good look.... One each of the outboards and one through the inspection hole, looks to me like they're all fine... Hard to tell what the pad is through the hole, you need to spin the disk to figure out what is what, but when you've done that, it's obvious.

    Unlikely front brake wearout?

Thanks for all the great responses, I'm even more convinced it shouldn't be like this, but I'm waiting to hear from the dealer to see what they have to say. Will try and get a picture, been wanting to have a look myself to confirm anyway. The way they spoke it was all 4, Summer range was...

    Unlikely front brake wearout?

So here's an interesting experience... Went for our annual tax grab of a vehicle inspection. Our iKegDeliveryVehicle has been working 12 months, has 14,500 km and we've been told our front brakes are under the 2 mm threshold. The local dealership is not an iMiev dealer, and this is the first...

More L2 Amperage=Warmer Preheat, Yes or No?

So I'm getting from the posts that the heater is powered by the charger, and therefore limited to 3.3 KW, as opposed to the charging circuit being separate from the heater circuit as I would have designed it, so that excess available amperage could be used by the heater circuit all the way up to...

More L2 Amperage=Warmer Preheat, Yes or No?

Hi, we're looking at which L2 charger to get and we're wondering if a higher level of amperage will increase the heat provided during a pre-heat. When using the L1 charger the pre-heat is nominal, but when I plug in to the in town commercial L2 chargers, the pre-heat we get from them is really...

    Electronic sound to alert pedestirans

If anyone can figure out how to hack the sound we'd be really interested! Ours is being used as a delivery vehicle for our Mead and will be logo'd up with bees on it....we'd LOVE to replace the sound with a recording of our bee hive! NB

Thanks so much for this! We're using 20's only in our startup meadery so sounds like we'll have no problems with it at all. We're also using the one way plastic kegs, so the weight really won't be an issue either from the sound of it. NB

Thanks for that, the actual measurement is 24" tall by 11" inches across, looks from that photo like it might fit well. Will definitely have to do a reccy at the localish dealer now. Thanks, NB

Thanks very much, we're looking at using it as our Mead Delivery Vehicle, so kegs that are about 30 inches tall and weigh about 50 pounds each, we'll need to make certain it's an easy lift in and out and that it can handle about 8 kegs at a time to make it usable. Will have to take a trip to the...

    iMiEV as workhorse

Hi, prospective iMiev buyer and forum newbie... Has anyone completely removed the rear seats to improve the cargo area (and reduce weight)? Is it even possible? I understand there are some useful items under the seat bottoms, but the could seat be removed and a cover made to fit over the things...
