    CMU CAN ‘spoofing’

I'd seen Nikolay's work before but didn't realize it was a 2017, good find. The CMU board appears to be the same; the purple wrapper on the cells appears the same as LEV50(N); also same BMU. i suppose it would be easier to keep the BMU in the pack near to the current sensor, isolation sensor...

    CMU CAN ‘spoofing’

Great job to fix the issue with a CAN bridge MIM from CMU to BMU. Do you think it is an issue with the LTC chip again, or maybe some component or solder joint in the voltage measurement circuit? i wonder if anyone has opened a late model pack to inspect the cells and BMU? Why did they move...

No READY. P1A15 error. Condenser charge timeout.

This sounds like you were reading the parameters of the CAN Buss protocol and baudrate, not the ECU version.

No READY. P1A15 error. Condenser charge timeout.

P1A4C indicates that the Battery Management Unit BMU, located under the rear seat, has an issue with the low voltage supply. Wiring or connector issue, or weak 12V battery, or too high 12V supply (greater than 16V).

ISA215-HYD module reverse engineering => involved in p1a15-error-condenser-charge-timeout

Good Findings Vadimchik, This could cause an intermittent fault if not complete failure of the Hybrid circuit

OBC Swapping Gen1 to Gen 2

The only benefit is to get a working charger and drive the car again.

No READY. P1A15 error. Condenser charge timeout.

Any value in that range would work, a specific value is not required for this trick to work since it is being placed in parallel to the 100k resistor to effectively lower the total input resistance. Another approach and probably easier would be to replace one of the resistors in the...

    Fault codes

Howdy Simon, i don't know your technical level of car repair, but clearing the codes does not fix the problem. The problem must be found and solved, then the codes can be cleared if they don't already clear on their own.

    Fault codes

No more "U" codes? The first step for the P1A44 is to check for CAN Buss faults, which can result from a low 12V battery. It may be new but needs to be charged and tested to verify it is good and strong. The FSM shows 25 troubleshooting steps for this code, Wiring diagram P1A44

    i-miev not changing, turtle

When a wire is broken, then the path is already disconnected. So removing the connector doesn't change anything, other than allowing you to inspect for corrosion, bent pins, etc. Any broken wiring or corroded connectors must be found and repaired before any troubleshooting of underlying issues...

Flashing Dash during Charging--Anyone see why?

Video shared from a PM: https://sharemobil.webo.family/index.php/s/xKTdddwiAYRATmL Hint: Where should your key be while charging?

    Fault codes

The 12V battery must be kept fully (100%) charged at all times or it will suffer capacity loss due to sulfation of the plates. If not driven everyday then an external 12V charger must be used to keep it full and maintain useful life.

No READY. P1A15 error. Condenser charge timeout.

This sounds like your 12V battery is weak, or sulfated and internally shorted, somehow it is insufficient for the task. It is not accepting charge anymore. The intermittent and unreliable operation of the 12V is masking and preventing troubleshooting of any underlying issue.

    Main Traction Battery Upgrade i-MiEV

Hot off the Press! Piev is showing 123.8 miles range and the car didn't shutdown, still in READY. [Air up the tires and probably go farther  ] Fabulous result that will extend the life and range of the little jellybean.

ISA215-HYD module reverse engineering => involved in p1a15-error-condenser-charge-timeout

That is beautiful--thank you. [The 15V power supply was indicating 0.01 Amp draw by the circuit board, which would be the ~1V drop across the 100 Ohm resistor. It was probably closer to 0.012A based upon scope measurements.]

    i-miev not changing, turtle

The box with the 2 yellow connectors is the BMU. With the 12V battery negative disconnected, unplug those 2 and inspect for corrosion and clean if necessary. Then underneath the BMU is the EV-ECU with 4 connectors, green-orange-blue-blue. Unplug those and inspect also. Re-assemble. The...

ISA215-HYD module reverse engineering => involved in p1a15-error-condenser-charge-timeout

There is a 100 Ohm inline on the 15V supply--is that what you wanted? The lack of reference designators on the board is unfortunate, maybe we should come up with scheme to add some?

ISA215-HYD module reverse engineering => involved in p1a15-error-condenser-charge-timeout

It was okay except i couldn't read it--i'm old and eyes are not so good anymore.

No READY. P1A15 error. Condenser charge timeout.

Does the car go to READY? If not, can you read any DTCs? i use an iCarsoft i909 to read miev DTC; other devices may work but i don't know which ones. Chances are that if you had P1A15, then you likely still do, and the car won't go to READY. You might be able to solder a resistor to the Op...

The Troubleshooting and Repair for On-board Charger (OBC) Thread

That's a great improvement and easy to read. Added a link to your Diode Drop Diagram in post #2.
