    diagnostic from android

You might want to peruse these apps - https://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=4936 For viewing and resetting DTCs I use iCarSoft i909. Mitsubishi's MUT3 is their shop tool.

    Tata Tiago- an iMiEV successor?

Hey, it's got 4 levels of regen, including zero. OTOH, they don't show maximum speed which is important for those of us who hop onto freeways often and have to merge with 75mph (illegal) traffic. Of course, their consumption figures are not EPA. Sadly, I'm afraid you're right, we in the US...

Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6

BarryP, as many of us are interested in these cars, I opened up this new thread in the appropriate subforum. I personally love one of their distinguishing features which are the up/down regen paddles, just like on your Kia Niro EV and Hyundai Kona EV.

i-MiEV Not AC Charging, (Was No DTCs), 12v dc-dc OK

Thanks for noticing this, as I hadn't looked at the manual yet. :o Wow, this is getting muddled as the i-MiEV manual J1772 connector numbering and naming is different from the J1772 spec and it doesn't say which end of the car's connector one is looking at. Wikipedia shows names rather than pin...

    Lithium Titanate / JDM version

miggols99, thank you for this! From what year is that brochure? Interesting to see that even the 'cheapest' i-MiEV already had a Nav display screen. BTW, I ran across this article comparing the various vehicle efficiency estimates around the world (sorry, it's based on ICE) but they don't...

i-MiEV Not AC Charging, (Was No DTCs), 12v dc-dc OK

Good point, but I believe the answer is no.

    Lithium Titanate / JDM version

miggols99, thank you very much for your informed update. Delighted to hear that the SCiB batteries are holding up so well over time and, at this point in history, that does indeed make them very desirable. When new, our 16kWh i-MiEVs were readily capable of significantly exceeding the U.S. EPA...

i-MiEV Not AC Charging, (Was No DTCs), 12v dc-dc OK

    - MickeyS70, thank you for your help. Sorry for my slow response. With the car turned off, taking resistance readings of the Control Pilot (Edit: correction, this is Proximity Pilot) to ground at the car's J1772 inlet, both of my i-MiEVs read close to 800Ω. That's an understatement, :) but at...

i-MiEV Not AC Charging, (Was No DTCs), 12v dc-dc OK

The Mitsu OEM 'granny charger' is J1772, one of two different EVSEs I tried.

i-MiEV Not AC Charging, (Was No DTCs), 12v dc-dc OK

Thought I'd start a new thread regarding the troubleshooting process whereby, after the charging plug is connected and the vehicle attempts to charge but the (perfectly good) charging station shuts down after a few seconds. I just installed a brand-new OBC without a doghouse to replace my...

    Lithium Titanate / JDM version

Vinyl, welcome to the forum. First off, I modified your post title to reflect JDM - Japanese Domestic Market vehicle. The expression you originally used is considered a pejorative dating back to WWII (no problem, as English is undoubtedly not your primary language). Secondly, I deleted your...

    iMiev Power Box ?

Andrew, thank you for finding this modern version of what Mitsu had about ten years ago that was unobtainable to us then. Since Japan uses both 50Hz and 60Hz, the frequency may be switch-selectable (as he alluded-to in the video). Jacking up the voltage may be as simple as running the output...

    Wanted- iMiev Motheboard

@implantdentist, thanks for coming back with more information. @Coulomb's comments are spot-on. By far, the most common failure in the i-MiEV is the wide range of failure indications that result from a bad 12v battery. Presumably either you or the Mitsu techs checked this first. Again, does...

    Hypermiling the i-MiEV

CZeroOwner, thank you for creating this unique approach. Sadly, in our heavy-traffic urban environment it is often difficult to employ hypermiling techniques without interrupting traffic flow. Case in point is simply coasting when seeing a red traffic light ahead will result in a half-dozen lane...

@implantdentist, could you please be more specific and introduce your situation? We've been enduring many spam attacks recently and would like to help you but also avoid wasting everyone's time.

    Front wiper mount

@Jonny, welcome to the forum. I see the rusty bracket in the photo but don't quite understand the question. Have you tried popping off the plastic end caps (which I believe are simply clipped on) for access to the hardware underneath? Sorry, haven't had to mess with the wiper mount myself...

More Server Woes - and another update

Hey, Kenny, I don't have that problem using a newish Mac and Safari browser. That screenshot you took looks to me as though the entire display is too narrow (edit: meant to say image is too wide) for the screen, but no scroll bar at the bottom so you can move sideways. Weird. You guys are much...

    Losing Charge When Parked Up

@miggols99, when the aircon is activated, the RR (Range Remaining) drops by ~10%. When the heater is activated, the RR drops by ~20%. Perhaps this is a reason for your 'inconsistent' RR drop?

    Corporate Stupidity

I had to laugh at jray3's example of Corporate Stupidity regarding the rental car for warranty repair. I guess the dealers don't care as they're reimbursed by Corporate for anything dealing with warranty. pbui19, when I first read your post I couldn't help but think what role Marketing plays in...
