Traction battery warranty extended to 10 years in Portugal

Wow, that is great Malm. Here in Australia, still 5yr/100K km I think

    EVBatMon Readings

Actually this is already a free option for all EvBatMon App users! In EvBatMon you can elect to upload your battery data automatically from the App to our cloud service to compare your EV to other iMiEV owners. More info here http://www.evpositive.com/battery-history.html The sample graph on...

    Check engine light on

I am prepared to add the feature to EvBatMon if you are happy to test it for me? It will take about a week.

    Check engine light on

The "check engine" light is also known as the "dealership $ sign". Its likely that the flat battery has just tripped one of the sensors. Some faults reset after a couple of cycles however others remain until they are reset. I have plans to build the feature to find out the fault code & reset it...

Battery cell failing at just 2900 km (1800 miles)

Thanks heaps for posting, that's the highest capacity we have recorded so far. 45.8 is a great benchmark for a "new" battery by the time it gets to a customer. I see it looks like the battery was shipped from Japan only when it was required for your iMiEV, here in Australia they don't seem to...

Oops, we will impose a minimum width and height in the next version. In the meantime as long as there were no other gauges nearby I could select a single pixel gauge and delete it. It took a couple of attempts holding at different points slightly above, on or below the line.

    EvBatMon

This is quite a tricky one, as our only test vehicle also does not have remote heating which limits reverse engineering. What that means is there may be a missing piece of hardware which prevents us from working out a software solution. I've added it to the list of customer requests to...

Thanks for your feedback, I can see what you are saying now Joe. The PID menu provides a longer description, however for the gauge due to its small size, does not allow much space so some of the description has been dropped. So "Power" is an abbreviation for "Power Supply" We are not sure...

    EVBatMon Readings

It is currently ok to test more than 1 EV with EvBatMon, however that might change in the future. The website graphing is designed to only support 1 EV per App installation right now. That might change in the future if we get more customers with more than 1 of the same EV however 3 in the 1...

There should not be a power figure in volts, that's just plain wrong, which PID is it? Of course like PV1 you can customise the displays, however PMC is our own percentage (Percentage of Manufacturer's Capacity). Otherwise % should be used, which PID have you found to be different?

    EVBatMon Readings

Another benefit of EvBatMon is that you can customise the screens to display the data you want, in the format you want (value, bar, dial or histogram). Eg what PV1 is doing here http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3022&start=34 You can also automatically compare your battery capacity...

    EvBatMon

Thanks for that PV1, I see you are taking great advantage of EvBatMon which allows any PID to be displayed in one of the 4 formats we support (value, dial, bar and histogram). From your screenshot it looks like your adjustments of the min/max extent for the dials are causing the min/max value...

Ah yes, we do that to ensure people can return to defaults (known working set), not so helpful in your situation I see. I'd like to see your landscape customisations sometime as we may adopt them as defaults. Once you are happy with gauge types and layouts if you could capture each screen and...

    EvBatMon

Gauge customisations are currently only saved on exit of the App. If we change that so that customisations are saved every time gauge properties are changed it will solve your issues. We will try to get this in the next release. I think you lost your customisations when updating due to the bug...

Apologies, a bad release was send out. An update (v19) should show up in Google Play within the next 2 hours.

    EvBatMon

The update should be available to download in 2 hours. Also the Charge Current PID is fixed. Keep the suggestions coming!

    EvBatMon

Ah yes, not so simple to turn to portrait to change that setting, when its bolted to your car! Will be fixed in the next release.

    EVBatMon Readings

There is not much to service in an EV, so the dealership has to be useful for something? It is true, there are 2 battery capacities - true, and calculated (eg PMC, SOH). The actual true capacity can only be determined by a complete discharge from full under controlled conditions. However the...

    EvBatMon

I can confirm that the OBDLink LX definitely works with both EvBatMon and caniOn on the MY10 and MY12 iMiEV. It is one of the OBD we test with on our iMiEV so its first hand experience (ie not just from customer reports). We have started a compatable OBD list for the iMiEV so please let us know...

    EvBatMon

We have only been collecting data via EvBatMon since Sept 2015 so its a bit early to tell at this stage. The more owners who upload their data from the App, the better picture we will get of the contributing factors to battery degradation. Battery degradation data is recorded automatically...
