[ The P1A15 Troubleshooting Thread ] No READY. P1A15 error. Condenser charge timeout.

I have read through your last few posts kenny and what I am trying to prove is the suspect loss of input voltage on my new board. So with the old board refitted and the hybrid board on I get 3.65v at vl vh With the hybrid board removed I get 3.894 at vl vh Is the hybrid board meant to be such...

Last test for tonight With the hybrid board removed the voltage to vl vh is now 3.894v Does that add up with 347v at the inverter? I appreciate your time on this kenny

I did get you last post…. Nearly the end for today! Replaced the capacitors as you said Both boards are only giving roughly 3.65v to vl vh With 347v to inverter

Yes the 347 is the peak hold, which is not far off of 348 battery voltage The resistors on both boards measure exactly The 3.654 was peak hold also how about if I put the spare board in without the hybrid board and measure voltage at vl and vh or does it need the board as a load?

All caps fitted Still the same and exactly the same input voltage on vl vh 3.654v and same with resistor dump on cn5 disconnected?!

Hi I found your post previously I don’t have any 390 What else could I use I have 330 uf?

Resistors all ok What size are the caps and I will replace them now?

Which ever or both I am getting a 13-14 v simulated drop. Perhaps I need to eliminate one at a time And this time start at the main board

Thanks kenny I have just read your last post Am I chasing a red herring with the hybrid board? Both new and old are not giving the same output as input, I would love to see that in operation! Even just to make me feel better! I can change all of the capacitors and resistors on the main board...

Next test Pins 3-5 on the hybrid board Strange thing here is there is a supply of 15v at the hybrid board but only 13.5 at the battery using a battery support unit? Even checking at the battery with a meter it’s showing 13.5??? Anyway back to the output test. The voltage at pin 3 and 4 on...

Forgot to say Apart from the 3 pin diodes and a few small components I have replaced everything else on the old board I replaced tl494

Hi kenny It’s a launch, good tool for the money. I’m starting all over again but obviously with a little more knowledge! The next tests I tested the voltage at cn4 just in case and this is still 347v Next test: https://imgur.com/a/DeoHblN So actual input dc is 347 to inverter Voltage...

Morning, I always clear fault codes from all systems after disturbing the system by shutting down the vehicle. The fault code re appears exactly the same as previously when you apply terminal 50 on the ignition switch. The freeze frame data is exactly the same. I removed chip u6 to copy it...

Sorry, plans changed as I went to collect a second hand inverter out of an accident damage car. Got it home, transferred the data from the eeprom u6, perfect, fitted the whole unit back in the car and STILL THE SAME FAULT! is this just bad luck or have I been chasing a red herring all the...

Morning Kenny Done the checks as per your last message and all has added up, I just have not replaced any of the components that you have specified with readings, is this the next step?

At the op amp pins to negative Pin one is 5.11v 2 and 3 nothing 4. -5.80 5. Fluctuating 0.5-0.6v 6. Same as Input voltage on pin VH but - 7. 5.18v 8. 5.12v

perfect and I really do appreciate your time the large capacitor, do you know what package it is because its fairly large will a small one do of the same value with the 12v supply its just a regulated supply which I have not monitored, but I will check now Back to basics EDIT found it...

These are the bits I have replaced https://imgur.com/a/gL9wAv7 Where do I go next? Are there any resistors and capacitors that you can identify for me and I replace...... I am determined even though I have another inverter coming tomorrow!
