UK 13A plugs can melt too. That's why UK "granny chargers" are rated 10A max. And beware, many have thermistors built into the plug, so cutting off the plug may brick the granny.

Negue, your image shows a 3-Phase 20kW DC output EVSE with a CCS2 plug, not a ChaDeMo plug. Were you suggesting this as a suitable power source ?

On the MIEV at least, the rotational indexing of the shift position switch on the transmission can be adjusted. The 2011 models needed a notched metal plate, the 2012 onwards requires two holes to be aligned. The addition of the B & C positions means the switch has to be moved much further by...

1. Occasionally I accidently press the lock or unlock button on the keyfob when inserting or removing the key from the steering lock. And the alarm siren goes off in the (I believe) COBRA Immobiliser. If I wait a minute it stops. Or I fiddle about pressing lock and unlock, closing the doors...

I already have an I-MIEV, I'm looking at buying a dead I-MIEV as a project. It was being driven back home from a MOT (UK road-worthiness test). The owner pulled over and switched off to "retune the radio" - the 12V battery has been replaced, perhaps during the Test ? The car wouldn't start after...

Why just those Cs and none of the other components ? Are they carrying hf which might cause a tiny vibration ? A bit like domestic AC sockets "unscrewing" the mains connections over the years ?
