Another wont go to ready MIEV

Somebody didn't read the thread carefully.

Solved: P1A46 on 2012 with 18 recently swapped stock cells. Drives but won't charge.

Those 2 DTCs are just one fault; the BMU is the primary detector and threw a code, and the EV-ECU throws its code to point to the BMU. Are you saying that you made all the checks as found in the steps of the FSM for this code (see attached pdf)? Link to corrected MSB pdf...

    Jakob N's Cell Change Thread

Good job on replacing the hybrid board, thanks for sharing the pictures. For calibration: Just plug in a Level 1 or 2 EVSE charging unit and let it charge to Full until it stops on its own (balancing completed). This is the standard calibration procedure as described in the owners manual...

Another wont go to ready MIEV

We would need to see the DTC codes thrown by the car to help with diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair. Use one of the miev phone apps and a good OBDII dongle, or a good OBD scantool, or get a dealership service dept with MUT tool to read out the codes. Also need to know what are the...

This is a great finding of something we didn't know--thanks for sharing the details of your build. Excellent job on rebuilding the supports!

    Jakob N's Cell Change Thread

Drive the car down to below 2 bars on the fuel gauge, then plug in to AC charge on Level 1 or 2, and let the charging run to Full and cut off on its own after balancing. This is the standard calibration procedure as described in the owner's manual. This does not affect or involve the MCU...

    Juanjo Madrid's cell replacement thread

i agree it is weird and hard to understand, that is why i drew the layout diagram to help identify the cells. Computer and controller software code doesn't care if something is crazy--it just does the routine task with no concern for human customs.

    Juanjo Madrid's cell replacement thread

For every Cell Module (CM01 thru CM12) the most positive cell is called "A". This is the convention in the FSM and in the MUT used for diagnostics. It is also the lowest numbered cell in the counting sequence for each Module when voltage is reported over the CAN buss. The cells are reported...

If the cell contact pad is damaged on one cell, then it can affect the voltage reading by the CAN buss of the neighbor also because the voltage reading is referenced with respect to the neighbors too.

Does not the buss bar go from CMU11 Cell A -to- CMU12 Cell D? i can see it in your picture.

I'm buying a non-runner MIEV here in Japan!

Okay, so what is the issue with rational's pack that requires any more calibration or MUT action--it seems that he is getting a righteous RR for a fully charged pack? Don't see how he could get anymore range. He should drive it around for a month, then he can drive it down to get the fuel...

    Juanjo Madrid's cell replacement thread

Malm's diagram was a guess that he made without seeing inside a pack. @Malm said: @kiev asked: @me68 replied: @Malm: to which @me68 said: If you follow Malm's diagram/your numbering, then you will learn the hard way how the cells are numbered.

    Juanjo Madrid's cell replacement thread

Malm's diagram was not correct when they went to change a cell. the link to that post, https://myimiev.com/threads/single-lev50-cell-wanted-for-our-citroen-c-zero.2720/post-23597 That is in Martin's (me68) cell swap adventure thread, the first done here with a time lapse video showing the...

    Juanjo Madrid's cell replacement thread

@piev Looks like you have it backwards. the cell you mark as 52 is cell 1. the cell you mark 41 is 88. in your photo module 1 is the top left module. Module 5 is the top right module.

    Juanjo Madrid's cell replacement thread

@MickeyS70 I have replaced CMU12 where cell 86 is located myself, it’s physically located on the right hand side of the pack; therefore if you use your own numbering in post #19 you will be swapping cells out of CMU06…

    Juanjo Madrid's cell replacement thread

@Juanjo Madrid Not match "real connection and the diagram". This tread of this forum confirm my numbering, almost sequence need be like this, if follow connections (White busbar covers), to connect again OBDZero with Can bus disconnected, need Up the package and again go down, I have limited...

    Juanjo Madrid's cell replacement thread

@MickeyS70 Just disconnect the CAN plug to one of the 4 cell packs and see which one is missing in OBDZero. Another way to identify a single cell is to swap it with one that has a different voltage (your new ones?). BEWARE: do not just disconnect a cell on the CMU board as this may blow the...

    Juanjo Madrid's cell replacement thread

@MickeyS70 There is a difference between LHD/RHD HV packs but this is due to the fact the AC ducting is on the other side and changes were done accordingly (lid is different), however as @kiev pointed out, electrically they are the same.

    Juanjo Madrid's cell replacement thread

i don't believe that there is a difference between LHD and RHD. It would cost too much to make different pack configurations with no benefit. Are you thinking that the cell numbering that you labelled corresponds to the OBDZero numbering? i don't know anything specific about how that app...
