Do you think that will OK? I did more research this time and saw that new budget androids were around $200 right? So I think the new Samsung is A9 so this is one previous model.
Well that tablet was awful! Sent it back. I thought yea it will be slow but it was basically not usable, and many issues I couldn't figure out. So I decided to try something a little newer and went with the Samsung A8 for around $90 used.

I installed the OBDLink app on my iPad, to check the firmware. It was up to date. I reset the OBDLink by pressing the button 15 seconds.
I used the OBDLink app to connect to my 2005 Elantra. It connected and read codes. No codes found as expected.

I'm back on this today. I was wondering, why did I order the MX+ instead of the LX like Rational had? I think that I did not see the LX as an option where ever I ordered it and figured the MX+ would be same and better. But then I thought, maybe if I try all these things you say...
So far I've paid $125 for the ODBLink MX+ (used email discount), and $7 for carscanner, and $8 for Hobdrive.
I think all these prices are very normal and reasonable and am happy to pay this to not have to buy another device, have another device around that I hardly use and have to keep charged...
